Painter and Plasterer

What you will do

• Skim coat walls and ceilings to a smooth Level 5 finish, with careful surface preparation and inspection under the room's lighting.
• Repair cracks, damaged plaster and drywall, and prepare patched areas so they blend with the surrounding surface.
• Remove existing paint using Peel Away or similar stripping systems and other appropriate methods that control dust and protect the substrate.
• Follow product instructions for test patches, removal, any required neutralization and preparation before repainting.
• Use HEPA dust-extraction equipment and appropriate low-dust preparation methods to keep the work controlled.
• Prime and paint walls, ceilings, doors, trim and millwork using brush, roller and spray methods appropriate to the surface and setting.
• Prepare color and sheen samples, maintain clean edges and consistent coverage, and complete final touch-ups.
• Protect floors, cabinetry, hardware and adjacent finishes, and keep the apartment and common areas clean.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience with full skim coating, Level 5 finishing, plaster repairs and detailed residential painting.
• Knowledge of primers, coatings, adhesion, surface preparation and drying requirements.
• Familiarity with Peel Away or comparable paint-removal systems and dust-controlled preparation.
• A careful eye for finish quality, dependable work habits and respect for the homes and buildings where we work.
